INSPECTION AND TESTING FOR BRIQUETTE MACHINES

    To ensure proper quality of corrosion protection, the Contractor responsible for shop painting or the field paint contractor shall permit inspection and testing of all work by the Purchaser or the Purchaser's authorized representative at any time during execution.

    The following general tests shall be administered by the Contractor responsible for shop painting or the field paint contractor:
•  Aesthetic appearance and judgment of paint
•  Measurement of wet film thickness
•  Paint viscosity measurements
•  Testing of temperature and humidity during application
•  Measurement of minimum dry film thickness (DFT) per guidelines of SSPC-PA2

    At any time during the execution of corrosion protection when the materials, workmanship, and quality are not considered to meet the minimum requirements and intent of the drawing, specification, or other applicable documents, it shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to demonstrate that the requirements have been met or to make the necessary corrections  along with the adequate reinspection to satisfactorily resolve the conditions in question.

    Final acceptance of corrosion protection will be based on inspection by Purchaser or the Purchaser's authorized representative.
